I love bed, it’s one of my favourite places and my down duvet is one of my favourite possessions. As someone with an underactive thyroid, I spend a large proportion of the year feeling freezy, so being able to hunker down into a warm bed is a lovely thing. I also love new bedding; much like new socks, it has a smooth crispness that’s always appealed to me. Here are my picks for a snuggly winter.
Grey is a great calming colour to have in a bedroom and jersey is super soft so this set from Linea at House of Fraser is perfect for the colder months. It’s currently half price, so a double set is only £40 here.
H&M homeware is really great value and they have some ace stuff this winter. This red checked duvet set is wintery without being Christmassy, and is made for curling up on the sofa with hot chocolate and bad films. It’s £34.99 for either the double or the king size set here.
Clearly I have a thing for checks this winter. This purple and cream reversible number from Debenhams is brushed cotton, for when it gets really chilly outside. Alpine chalet decor and stag’s head optional.
It’s in the sale and the king and superking are sold out, but the double set is £38.50 here.
Sticking with the brushed cotton, this blue and white striped set was apparently designed to look like vintage pyjamas. It’s pretty, warm, and sure to keep you snug; all the charm of old-fashioned pjs without any pesky buttons to dig into you.
Find it on Not on the High Street for £60 for the double set.
Finally, a very wintery offering from John Lewis. All the joy of a snowy tree with none of the unpleasant coldness, dampness, or spiky needles. It’s £50 for the double set, and you can find it here.- Any product marked with an '*' is a PR sample. All reviews are 100% honest regardless of whether I bought the item myself or was sent it.
