I was possibly too excited when Becca released the Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Pearl as an individual shade – finally, the ghostly of face could be über-glowy too. I loved the look of Champagne Pop but it was just too dark for my skin tone, looking like a shimmery stripe, albeit a rather pretty one. Pearl, on the other hand, is the perfect shade – a glowy white that barely shows up as colour, but rather as sheen. You really do need a light hand with it, unless you want to look metallic (which is fine too – you do you). It’s slightly sparklier than I would like ideally – I tried my fan brush and it only picked up the shimmer particles – so I like a slightly fluffier brush, like this Morphe one, which seems to mesh it with the skin more and minimise the glitter. The SSPs are £32 but I can’t see myself hitting pan for bloody ages.
The Luminous Blushes are a new launch from Becca and because I obviously don’t have enough pink blushers, I bought the shade Camellia. Let me just say that the colour of it in my photo is a lot closer to the actual shade than how it looks on Cult Beauty, where it’s a far paler, slightly more corally, pink. Luckily I really like it in reality but be careful when choosing – maybe a range to swatch in person before picking up?
Like the highlighter, the blush is super pigmented and if a little goes a very long way. The swatch shows a heavy swipe and how it looks blended out – I’m not a huge fan of Aunt Sally cheeks so possibly blended it more than most people would, but it still shows up as a pretty flush on my cheeks. It is shimmery but not glittery, thankfully, and actually looks relatively natural*. It’s definitely spendy at £27 but, again, I think it’s going to last for years – literally.
